The sinking-fund tracker — eight goals, target dates, a 10-box progress row.

Annual insurance, car replacement, a holiday, a wedding, a medical buffer — the expenses you already know are coming. One named row each, a target, a monthly contribution, what you've saved so far, what's still left, the date the bill lands, and a ten-box progress indicator you shade in. On a single A4 or Letter page.

What you get

One page, seven columns, eight goals.

The goal rows are printed by name. Six numeric / date cells and a ten-box progress indicator sit to the right — left blank for you to fill in with a pen and shade at the kitchen table. A totals bar at the bottom shows TARGET, MONTHLY, SAVED and REMAINING side by side.

Goal
Eight default rows — Emergency fund, Car replacement, Home down payment, Holiday travel, Wedding / event, Medical buffer, Annual insurance, Other. Rename to match your known expenses in Canva.
Target
A lined cell in your configured currency. The figure the whole pile should reach by the Target date — rounded to the nearest $50 so the Monthly math reads cleanly.
Monthly
A lined cell in your configured currency. The arithmetic: Target ÷ months until the Target date. Round to the nearest $10 so you can read the column total.
Saved
A lined cell in your configured currency for a running balance, not a per-deposit ledger. Tick it on payday. Currency glyph is in the badge top-right; the column itself stays clean.
Remaining
A lined cell for Target minus Saved — what the household still needs to find by the Target date. Buyer-computed; this tracker does not run the subtraction.
Target date
A short lined cell for the date the bill lands or the goal is needed — free-format text. Indivisible from the row: a sinking fund without a target date is just a number on paper.
Progress (10 boxes)
A row of ten small boxes printed on the right of the row. Buyer shades one per ~10% saved — five shaded means halfway there. A glance tells every member of the household which goals are on track.
Totals bar
A striped bar at the bottom with four lined cells — TOTAL TARGET under the Target column, TOTAL MONTHLY under Monthly, TOTAL SAVED under Saved, and TOTAL REMAINING under Remaining. Target date and Progress don't aggregate — they belong to each row.
Editable Canva template
Same layout, rebuilt with text elements so the goal rows, target, monthly, saved, remaining and target-date columns are individually editable. Rename a goal, push a date out, swap the currency, set a new target in Canva and print.

A printable one-pager explaining how to pick one goal per row with a target date, derive a monthly contribution, tick saved weekly, and shade progress toward each goal.

Make the challenge workable

Practical questions before you start.

A savings challenge should make the next contribution easier to see, not make the rest of the budget harder to manage.
